| relocating PTU and replacing 4 coilpack connectors. Started up the car and it didn't sound quite right. It had been idling a little rough at start up recently, but would smooth out in short order, so I pressed on. After about 5 miles it sounded to my untrained ears that the car was not running on all cylinders; putt putting on acceleration rather than revving smoothly. Drove back home, rather depressed, and pulled into the garage. Rolled down the window with the motor still running (no I wasn't contemplating suicide), and yep it sounded like crap and never like I had heard it before. Obviously the CCP and PTU were implicated here. Popped the hood. Sure enough, I had failed to insert the center DS connector all the way into the coilpack. Did so. Fired it back up. Smoothness returned and of course I couldn't resist taking it back out for a few miles now that my TT was back to normal. Life is good.
Oh ya. Found the UD pulley beneficial. Definitely increased power and responsiveness when accelerating from a stop, and a bit quicker revving at higher rpms, also. :-) :-)
